The story of Europe’s economic decline while US is 'soaring' is everywhere.

But it is wrong. It is a myth.

Europe delivers more leisure, longer life expectancy, less inequality than the US.

Gabriel Zucman dismantles the myths.
Decline, what decline? The myth of dying Europe
There is a widespread view that, by comparison with the USA, Europe is in economic and social decline. But, Zucman argues, it's not true

Nigel Farage wants to get rid of the NHS and replace it with US style insurance.

Can you afford $50,000 for a broken leg, $500,000 for a new heart, or $2,000,000 for cancer.

Or are you dying?

One way for Labour to get Farage to leave politics would be to make it the law for MP’s to release their tax returns and ban all second jobs (with the exception of where professional qualifications rely on them). While they’re at it they could ban crypto donations to political parties.

Reform UK have repeatedly said that Kent is their "flagship" council and "the shop window" for how they intend to run things.

When they are exposed as planning to slash social care for old people, in order to hire their cronies as advisors at £150k a pop, I think people should believe them. ~AA

Your usual reminder that the UCKG is an extraordinarily shady outfit. It is not clear what the money they collect is for or where it goes. They are collecting all over London today. Avoid.

Look, you can have low taxation or you can have functioning public services. You can't have both. Lots of people, including the UK government, seem to have forgotten this fact. Taxation isn't theft. It's the foundation of society.

I can’t think of a better symbol of Reform’s ambitions for Britain than a sideways flag hanging forlornly over a blocked drain.
