“Every election matters, and every vote counts”
Although many hoped otherwise, we do not seem to be returning to a world in which the center left and the center right compete over tax rates or budgets. Every election is now existential

A real Christian
You can argue the merits of deporting Marcelo—a young man brought here at age 5—if you want to. But this is someone we should be proud to call American. He’s solid on every level. And if you’re really a Christian, you should be lifting him up, not casting him out.

Listen w/an open mind—and heart.

Yes, I'm biased because I'm its author. Anywho, I launched it on Monday and am really happy with how the week has gone. You should check it out and tell all your friends.

Willful misreading of the Constitution and of a Supreme Court decision by this president and those around him
Many have asked me to post JakeTapper’s CNN interview asking me to discuss President Trump’s absurd pretense that he doesn’t know whether he’s bound by the Constitution he has twice sworn to “preserve, protect, and defend.” With my name misspelled, here it is: video.snapstream.net/Play/2OL5sZt...

It is common for African Americans born before 1970 in Southside Virginia not to have birth certificates because their mothers could not be admitted to the hospitals to give birth: they were still segregated
The central core of Trumpism is voter suppression and election subversion. Too many people only pay attention to this right before elections and forget it once elections are over.

We must take this threat literally and seriously if we want to have free and fair elections in the future.

I love this so much!

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.
