As usual, @streetroots.bsky.social does a fantastic job explaining the issues with Measure 110 (which decriminalized small amounts of drugs) and why it shouldn’t be repealed. Insane stat: the number of Black Oregonians arrested for drug possession decreased by 77% since the law took effect! >

The issue with the IRS is that it’s chronically underfunded by the sorts of people who are anti-tax, so it hasn’t had the resources to properly investigate rich tax cheats, corporate tax cheats, and tax exempt orgs. Hopefully this is proof that more funding = equity in enforcement

The thing about self-defense in a life-or-death situation is that you can’t tell people that there is a right or wrong way to do it. They won’t hear it. They are in crisis mode and will respond accordingly.
