A musician (saxophone, keyboards, percussion, singing) and photographer, trying to stop the light from dying.
I was never a big Madness fan back in the 80s, but their songs are some of the best pieces of music in the world to play live. You can't stop yourself having the time of your life!

I'm so old, my copy of Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables still has the heads. 😁

45 years old and still perfect.

One Step Beyond (Prince Buster/Madness) - I learnt this a couple of years ago for a show that never happened. Weirdly I've never played it since, either.

I wonder how historians navigate the world without going insane when everything they see is simply the next cycle of repeated history.

Playing music in front of an audience, or any live performance really, can be a terrifying experience. You are completely exposed - there's absolutely no where to hide (unless you're a band that mimes to backing tracks, and there are hundreds of those).

Luckily, our audience always rocks! 😁

I can't be the only person who misses the days when antisemitism meant hating Jews and denying the Holocaust rather than hating a rogue government and not supporting a genocide.

When you're a band that plays 100% live, that doesn't use trickery to pretend that what you're hearing is what's actually being played on the stage - assuming that's anything at all and what you're actually watching are people miming - the audience feels that difference ... and they love it!

Another great music autobiography. So much in this is relatable, too. Often painfully so. Our comparative successes may be slightly skewed in Melanie C's favour, but the emotional rollercoaster is all too familiar.

Dear BBC News ... really? 😂

This documentary on Grenfell will tear out your heart. This is not an easy watch. Tears, anger and disgust.

Who knew Lidl beer was this nice?!? You rarely see Porters these days - this is a surprisingly nice one.

This show, with the amazing So True (www.so-true.co.uk) doing their 80's Party Night, was so hot. Like, really, really hot - if you're not from the UK, then you may not know that air-con is not that common.

The audience danced from the very first note. Can't ask for more.

Getting my #pride on last night. Hot, sweaty and rocking. A great night. 😁

It's a sin, having this much fun. 😉

I have to admit that it's come as something of a surprise to learn that not all genocides are bad and not all war crimes are wrong.

When someone like me, who isn't a biologist, can easily see huge holes in the basic premises of the report, I'm not surprised.
Already the wheels are falling off the false – at best – EHRC guidance on the For Women Scotland decision.

After a month of insisting the law was “clear”, it’s now asked for an extension to reply to the “significant and complex issues” our letter raises:

The EHRC said that the law was clear. So why do they want so much time to clarify it?

I wish someone like Walter would start showing the original French H.P.I. with Audrey Fleurot.
If you like TV cop procedurals featuring brilliant (but kooky!) detectives, I highly recommend High Potential - it’s very well made for something so generic, and great fun. For fans of Elsbeth, Matlock, Ludwig, Columbo, Diagnosis Murder, Murder She Wrote, etc etc

Why are stupid people always surprised that they get what they voted for?

I'm shocked.

SHOCKED!
🚨BREAKING: The new Reform Mayor for Lincolnshire has said she will MEET with a fracking company to discuss extracting gas from the county - claiming it will 'save money for taxpayers.'

92% of Reform's donations come from oil/gas interests.

Who else thinks Reform is just a mouthpiece for Big Oil?

Straight in with the hard decisions. Finally, real politicians.

The delusional fuckwits who voted for them will be ecstatic.
Reform setting out their priorities in local government - never mind social care, housing or education - just make sure the flag shaggers are happy. Totally unserious.

All the new Reform UK councillors may lack experience, but they can always rely on their strongly held convictions. Especially the ones for fraud, sexual assault and tax evasion.
