One of the wonderful young people who was on my team last year graduated today from SMU. I'm so ridiculously proud of him!

Woodchippers are fine and all, but my personal preference is a horrible, horrible sawmill accident instead.

I love their work so much. I have gorgeous glittery shamrocks from them and the compliments I get… they’re a local artist in Halifax. I hope you love their stuff as much as I do! littlecalicoclay.com

Let me tell you this: nail art stickers are awesome. I got some snowflake ones for the winter and they look nice on the light blue I used today. I bet they’ll look even better over a rich deep forest green, or vibrant red. I added a glitter topcoat for snow sparkle. I know my cuticles look awful.

Got this super cool tote from Temu. It’s perfect for my D&D stuff! Also check out my newest dice. I *LOVE* them.

So, I am off today. What to do... I am thinking laundry, light cleaning, then perhaps an edible, loud music and video games.

So that order, according to the email I got confirming delivery said it was delivered at 8:30pm. The email was sent at 10pm. Thank goodness they followed directions and put it at the back door.

I don’t know, maybe every generation gets the Pope they do not need but the Pope they deserve, and we just happened to hit the multi-millennia intersection.

Past Me was looking out for future me when she booked Friday off this week to go along with my normally scheduled Thursday off. Past Me realized in February that I’d really like a 4 day weekend in November.
Present Me completely forgot about it. What a lovely gift Past Me gave me.

Boy I sure love getting a notification that my package is out for delivery and there’s no way to give feedback/remind that the delivery address is the back door.
Address reads:
Line 1: BACKDOOR-My civic address
Line 2: BACKDOOR BACKDOOR BACKDOOR.

Bets where it gets delivered?

We don’t rake the leaves in our yard. They provide homes for bugs to winter in, lets birds search through them for the aforementioned bugs, and provides the ground nutrients when they break down. Hubs will mulch the ones in the dogs section using the lawnmower, but other than that we leave them be.

The beans portion of rice and beans for dinner smells so delicious!!! I’m very excited to have it with plain white rice. It’s a little spicy and the rice will temper it nicely.

I am making homemade beans and rice for dinner. I'm craving something savoury and comforting. This sounds like it will hit the spot! Dried pinto beans just went into the instant pot for a hot bath.

This is my beloved Grampa. He taught me woodworking, gardening, and how to tend to forests. He's been gone for well over half my life and I miss him every single day. He volunteered for the war effort, and helped build pontoon bridges in Holland in the 32 Field Company, Canadian Military Engineers.

This was my great, great uncle, Locky. He left Summerville Beach to go to New York to work on building one of the bridges there. He enlisted in the States to go fight the war, and never came home. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his valour.
