A jagged edge made smooth by time
We don’t rake the leaves in our yard. They provide homes for bugs to winter in, lets birds search through them for the aforementioned bugs, and provides the ground nutrients when they break down. Hubs will mulch the ones in the dogs section using the lawnmower, but other than that we leave them be.
The carpet of dead foliage is often viewed as a nuisance, but it can be an important component in the garden. https://to.pbs.org/47Segmm
How to turn fallen leaves into valuable leaf mold for your garden this fall
The annual carpet of dead leaves can be an important component in gardens. They can serve as root-protecting and insect-sheltering winter mulch or add to a robust compost mix.

The beans portion of rice and beans for dinner smells so delicious!!! I’m very excited to have it with plain white rice. It’s a little spicy and the rice will temper it nicely.

I am making homemade beans and rice for dinner. I'm craving something savoury and comforting. This sounds like it will hit the spot! Dried pinto beans just went into the instant pot for a hot bath.

This is my beloved Grampa. He taught me woodworking, gardening, and how to tend to forests. He's been gone for well over half my life and I miss him every single day. He volunteered for the war effort, and helped build pontoon bridges in Holland in the 32 Field Company, Canadian Military Engineers.

This was my great, great uncle, Locky. He left Summerville Beach to go to New York to work on building one of the bridges there. He enlisted in the States to go fight the war, and never came home. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his valour.

DRAGON FIRE (1989)
Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 32” x 20”
After I submitted my concept sketch for the cover of SUNRUNNER’S FIRE by Melanie Rawn, I realized that the anatomy of the dragon’s wings was inconsistent with the structure on the other covers I had done for the series. 1/3

Know what's a lot of fun? Blasting your fave playlist, taking an edible, and doing what I call 'Rave Clean.' You dance, sing, and serenade your dog all while you clean, tidy, and cook.

Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...

Doing a slow cooked roast beef with mushrooms and onions, mashed potatoes, and roasted parsnips and carrots for dinner tomorrow. The leftovers will make a lovely soup or pot pie later in the week.

In 1972, a cat commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These kittens promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune.

I was going to do a ginger plum chicken dish for dinner but the chicken smelled a little off and I don't fuck with potential food poisoning, so I made a sweet and sour pepper dish which used up peppers and onions that needed to be used, as well as some hot Italian sausage. Over rice? Yes please.

Huh. Someone must not have appreciated my completely rational anger regarding TPB and blocked me. Once again, the trash takes itself out.

Since you can’t mute phrases here, looks like I’ve got to mute ‘trailer,’ cos I’m already sick and fucking tired of seeing that story on my feeds. Anyone surprised by that news hasn’t been paying attention.

I’m guessing that The Life of a Showgirl missed the deadline for release dates?
Kendrick Lamar led the field with nine nominations, including album, record and song of the year.
Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter were also top nominees this year.

Something I like to do every morning is sit and have a coffee and look at my Facebook memories. For some reason there are none. I haven’t changed any settings, nothing is new, and I have made no changes to it. It’s weird and I want it back.

This is amazing. Power, water, heat, cooling, and homes should be things provided free to everyone.
