とてつもない権力を持つ大富豪層との戦いになるのでマジでハラハラする。オバマが全て直してくれると思って2008年に紫になったうちの州もあまり恩恵を受けなかったと言って今は真っ赤。マムダニの場合、公約を実現できないと2026年の全国の選挙に響くのでプレッシャー大きいと思う。頑張って欲しい🙏
親しいニューヨーカーの友達は、
「マムダニ勝利は嬉しいけど、彼が掲げた公約は実現が難しいことも多くが承知してるから、いまは市民は浮かれてるけど、予定通りに行かなかった時に不満が爆発しないことを祈る」
と意外と冷静な反応だった。民主社会主義者を自称する市長は、マムダニの前にディンキンスという黒人市長がいたんだよね。いまのマムダニよりも政治経験も学歴もあった人だけど、NY市民はディンキンスに対しても最初はワーワー浮かれてたけど、なかなか思い通りに行かず、失業と治安悪化を食い止められずに支持率が悪化、そして【あの】ジュリアーニの登場に繋がったわけだからな。
地元民が慎重になるのは少しわかる。
