Thinking about how mad Hans Zimmer got when directors kept giving him temp tracks and asking for it “exactly like that.” Having all these talented artists just to hand them 90% of what you think is finished work is straight up an insult. Concept art isn’t a step you fast-forward - it’s the BEDROCK!

For Valentine's Day this year my partner introduced me to When Harry Met Sally and I introduced her to The Princess Bride. It was one of the best we've ever had in our 9 years together. RIP Rob and Michele Reiner.

God this is heartbreaking. To a T had so much heart and spirit, especially compared to the new Katamari. This industry needs people like Keita Takahashi in it.
Keita Takahashi (Katamari, Wattam, Noby Noby Boy) has moved back to Japan, and says he may be forced to quit the games industry due to To a T underperforming.
He also says he'd love to work on Katamari again, and for someone to invest in his studio.

I see the consensus thrown around that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the weakest of the survivor trilogy. I really don't understand why. To me it was absolutely the best of them. Well designed environments, combat felt great, I actually cared about the story and how it handled Lara.

Anyway Expedition 33 is the game that should truly trigger full embracing of 'JRPG' as a descriptor of a certain subset of mechanics that emerged thru Japanese adaption of Wizardry, Ultima etc for consoles, rather than just 'RPGs made in Japan'. Diachronic process is real, language & context changes
