i can’t believe a new yakuza game is out in like two days and i don’t care. i’ve been playing this shit since the ps3 and they’ve somehow managed to turn me off of it. i’m not even angry. it’s just sad. this didn’t have to happen. it sucks that another series i love is basically spiritually dead.

- they got rid of mack and revelations
- substories went from 119 to 31 and they got rid of almost every cutscene one
- added misogyny to the writing and got rid of the progressive trans substory
- kagawa
- no unique minigames, they're all copies of other ones

hey, this game really is quite incredible. i’m a couple hours in and it is endlessly charming. huge recommend from me if you’re on the fence. it’s a game that actually understands why mother 3 rocks!
this feels like one of those things there’s no walking back from. showing such a lack of disregard for sexual assault is gonna be brought up forever. absolutely pathetic, disgusting behaviour. who the fuck did horii’s media training? casey anthony?
RGG Studio not only cast Kagawa despite his actions, they are specifically taking advantage of his image as a creep to sell the role.
