According to a Japanese lawyer, Teruyuki Kagawa could be arrested at any time. Why risk it? #REMOVEKAGAWA. Stop the censorship.
Let’s hear lawyer and former deputy chief of the Special Investigation Department of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, Masaru Wakasa, explain how Kagawa’s conduct in this case should be judged under the law. “If a hostess suddenly had that done to her without her agreement or consent, then in theory, it would constitute the crime of Indecency through Compulsion under Article 176 of the Penal Code, punishable by [between 6 months and 10 years] of imprisonment. […] Indecency through Compulsion was a private offense in the past, and there could be no case without a formal complaint from the victim, but […] after the 2017 revision to the Penal Code, it is now possible to punish as a crime even with no complaint.” The statute of limitations is completed upon the lapse of the following time periods: […] 7 years for offenses punishable with imprisonment […] maximum term is less than 15 years [but not less than 10 years]. [Kagawa’s case occurred in July 2019, 6 years ago.]

RGG localizer Michele Howe (Neverwhere/Nevvie) has just passed. If you can, please share or donate to the fundraiser for a proper coronary report and final expenses.
Just after 12am local time (8am BST) on October 16th 2025, Nevvie collapsed mid-sentence and never regained consciousness. Despite the best efforts of myself and the emergency services she slipped away rapidly and was pronounced dead within the hour. The LA coroner won’t be investigating the cause of her sudden death because “she was fat”. I am pursuing a 3rd party investigation and waiting for more information. This happened six days after our 16th anniversary, Nevvie was 47. Four years ago we lost our home to a fire. This year she lost her father while I was in hospital for emergency spine reconstruction surgery. Though it could be stressful she had a job she loved at Sega, a company she could be proud to be part of, one she helped to unionize.

RGG Studio suppressing #REMOVEKAGAWA on Instagram
Several screenshots of the ryugagotokustudio Instagram page with comments with the all-caps hashtag #REMOVEKAGAWA and an error saying “Comments on this post have been limited.” A lowercase #removekagawa hashtag seems to have gotten through. The screenshots are accompanied by a caption stating: “RGG Studio Is Limiting and Deleting Comments About #REMOVEKAGAWA on Instagram “The #REMOVEKAGAWA tag appears be filtered out when written in all-caps, but not in lowercase. One Twitter user reports comments were disabled while #REMOVEKAGAWA comments were mass-deleted. According to another user, the filter was briefly lifted and the account was being flooded with #REMOVEKAGAWA comments, but seems to have been reinstated. The situation is currently in limbo.”

“I worked in Ginza for 15 years, but that was the only time my hair, a tool of my trade, had been mangled like that.” [Earlier: “I suddenly noticed Kagawa-san looming over me from behind. He grabbed my hair and started pulling out hairpins one by one, ripping out the hair that had been set and secured in place.”] […] “I had no choice but to endure the pain and humiliation. [...] I didn't want to resist and risk him flying into a rage or have him target a different hostess." The proof is a photo showing Kagawa grinning with satisfaction as he grabs her hair.[...] Newly obtained images reveal Kagawa, having grabbed the former mama's hair, burying his face in the nape of her neck and sniffing. Furthermore, when she turned to reprimand him, he wore a sullen expression and proceeded to stick his fingers under her armpit to sniff its scent.

It's been discovered that actor Teruyuki Kagawa, who has been casted as Goh Hamazaki in Yakuza Kiwami 3, was guilty of sexual harassment towards a hostess back in 2019. This information was public back in 2022, with a bizarre apology being issued by the actor.

Dark Ties’ origins as an RGGO story

I’ve been involved with the development of the series since Yakuza 2, but there was a time when I was just a Yakuza fan. Perhaps that’s working to my advantage.”

Composer Hidenori Shoji on the role of characterization in music

Yakuza 0 was localized on a hacked Chinese copy

Original Yakuza was planned to be dual-audio

Justin Lambros: We chose to include English dialogue in Yakuza so that the game would appeal to the widest possible audience in the US. The gameplay is engaging and accessible, so we wanted the same thing for the story as well. We were hoping to include the Japanese dialogue as an alternate track, but unfortunately there just wasn’t enough room on a single disc to put both sets of voice files.
