Which is why on online platforms, the block button is past of your self-care package. Letting bullies and cry-bullies waste your precious time with tantrums many five-year olds would be embarassed by is something you should prevent with every tool at your disposal.

That's exactly what @kellylink.bsky.social and @gavingrant.bsky.social told us at Clarion too. That's kept me plugging through a number of difficult years and a triple-disability fatique (while working full time to pay the bills). Keep. Writing.
I met @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com briefly at Clarion West 2015 (thanks to my classmate, Laurie Penny) and he told us that the single best predictor of who will be successful is simply who keeps going.

Understanding how you are being manipulated gives you the power to resist more effectively. Freedom of speech doesn't necessarily correlate or result from with freedom of thought. This is a great resource.

If you want to know why the whole world hates the US (don't worry, they really do) it's because of things like how Algeria drew up a ceasefire resolution for the UN & the US already expressed its intent to veto this. There is no logical objection to ceasing bombardment on Palestinians but genocide.
