People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

so: funny story. i was sitting at the dining room table the other day and kept hearing this odd sound, and i was trying to figure out if it was the chair squeaking (possible), but it didn't quite sound like that. it was an intermittent sound, too, which complicated things.
