The whole Crockett v Talrico primary debate will have next to little on issues and more on style. The question is does anger translate into crossover or turnout vs an appeal to better angels. Its funny because I also see this as another front of the Abrams v Ossoff battle in GA.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

I would like to take this opportunity to remember Melissa Hortman, a serving Democratic politician assasinated by a right-winger.

This “big, ugly bill” is dangerous and will destroy rural health care. In Kentucky alone, 35 hospitals are under the threat of closing, stripping care from families, cutting jobs and crippling local economies. 1/2

He won't get it with Trump but the next Democratic president with a Dem majority needs to get it done.

Work requirements hurt poor people AND are a waste of money.

Arkansas spent $26 million on administrative costs for work requirements — and saw no increase in employment.

Georgia’s program cost $40 million in one year — 80% of that went to administrative and consulting costs.

Mortgage rates up.

Are we great again yet?

this is the tweet that led to him saying 'my bad' it's very clear that he's trying to pivot toward 'you can trust me because i am not ideological, i just say what i feel.' but the truth is he just got so red-pilled by anti-woke stuff on his social media timelines that he couldn't see the obvious

Quickest way to get me to not care about Aggie mens basketball.
FWIW, there will be a movement on behalf of A&M boosters to get the school to hire Ole Miss' Chris Beard in an effort to get him back into Texas — and to go head-to-head with Beard's former school in Austin.

Hell no. If they're being complete fuck ups they deserve to be called as such.
Good message but can we please call a moratorium on the thing where Democrats think the solution to Trump is to curse a lot? I pretty much hate it at this point
Pete Hegseth is a f*cking liar. This is so clearly classified info he recklessly leaked that could’ve gotten our pilots killed.

He needs to resign in disgrace immediately.

NBC News: The Espionage Act contains a provision making it crime to disclose national defense secrets "through gross negligence."

The law does not require info be classified, because it was written before the classification system existed. The law refers simply to "national defense information."
Negligently disclosing national defense information is illegal — and it doesn't have to be classified

I think it's safe to say that Democrats in DC are the most useless group of elected officials since the Weimar Republic
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are still fighting the egg prices war as Trump and Musk dismantle the federal government. Maybe this is good politics, but we're a looooooong way away from the midterms and at this rate there won't be much left to salvage by then.

Okay, in this election you have the lady who wants to make the world incrementally better or the literal antichrist that will destroy everything you’ve ever known.

“I WANT WORLD PEACE OR IM NOT VOTING!”

That’s isn’t one of the options.

“IM NOT VOTING!”

92 days later: “HOW DO WE STOP THIS?!!”

James Madison wrote of the necessity of the separation of powers:
“The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive & judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elected, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”
