What this primary season has taught me two things
Folks are running scared when we need them to be bold, but they are also not thinking strategically and working to maximize voting potential. Again, we have highly unpopular leadership in this state. Just take the fight to them. Not each other.

But on the other hand another message if we have only Austin based candidates will be "dont Austin my Texas." I don't think Democratic base voters fully understand the seething hatred rural Texans have for "city folk."

Another thing is we cannot win if we are seen as the party only for women. If we literally have only women as candidates for statewide office besides Railroad and Ag Comission. Its a bad look.

I am likely to support Talrico in the primary as I feel this idea that we can magically expand the electorate in the year of our lord 2026 to win is beyond ridiculous. 2026 will be a pure turnout game.

They changed the lyrics during Vietnam to "as he died to make men holy, let us live to make man free." I personally prefer the original lyrics. When this song was sung at my HS graduation, knowing I was going to be joining the Corps and seeking a commission, I got teary eyed.

Aaron Ford, who is a fighting Texas Aggie, will make an excellent governor!

As someone who considers himself a New Dem/Blue Dog. Stephen A ain't one of us. He's a Republican. He just doesn't know it yet.

I still maintain ending Reconstruction was the single greatest mistake ever made in this nation. Southern aristocats didn't suffer enough.

this is the tweet that led to him saying 'my bad' it's very clear that he's trying to pivot toward 'you can trust me because i am not ideological, i just say what i feel.' but the truth is he just got so red-pilled by anti-woke stuff on his social media timelines that he couldn't see the obvious

All the cowardice of the WHCA is amazing and lead us to this moment. @jvl.bsky.social was right. As always.
