I get now how Denver has won so many games in the fourth quarter. All it takes is an official to ignore a tripping penalty that would have given the opposing team a first down after fifteen yards and instead say it was a sack and make it third and twenty one. Make it make sense.

Everyone who knows me knows I love NFL. But this season has fooled me every week - been wrong about everything except the fall of Chiefs and Eagles. But this Bills game is fun to watch - old school and modern game in equal parts.

For the last 3 days I have been awoken by dreams about novels 3 and 4 in my series. Massive subplot rewrites as weird and fully formed connection with stuff already written in books 1-2. Most likely mean that EVERYTHING except the main series arc will be thrown away for books 5-7.

This new life / work schedule is wild. Waking up at 3am is just...alien. On days off like today it's crazy. The early NFL game isn't over yet and I've been up 12 hours.

I am not a detective. I do not have "contacts" I can call on to do “leg work” in investigations. I’m a merely a retired soldier. I am not a patient man, either. I tend to pick a direction and start going until I meet a wall, at which point I usually shoot it.
