A Man on the Inside is perfect television. If I wrote even one episode of it, I could die happy, knowing that I created exactly what I love about tv.

Getting harder and harder to be a TV lover who can’t handle cringe TV. (In our house we call it “excessive empathy syndrome”.) The narrowing list of viewing options is frustrating.

Wondering how support staff are faring in the wake of the strike? Unemployment’s error screwed up my filing 4 months ago & I still have to go through appeals court. Which I learned today is backlogged since APRIL & the only way to prove financial hardship is by FAXING AN EVICTION NOTICE.

Attn Haunted Mansion haters: Justin Simien & Katie Dippold took a Disney ride and created a clever, silly, visually compelling meditation on grief. Dismissing it on principle is… well, look how many of you keep showing up to see Johnny Depp play a dumb pirate.

If anyone in LA is looking for Into The Woods tix, hmu. I’ve got a pair of orchestra seats for tomorrow night I now can’t use. The production is amazing - I’ve seen it once already. Selling for face value. Show closes July 30th!

I love watching people walk out of Act 1 of Into The Woods thinking everything is all happily ever after. Wait for Act 2, suckers.

Today my phone alarm went off, and my 3YO goddaughter, annoyed, said: D, I’m trying to watch this [Moana]! So, I’m sending her to the AMPTP to run the next round of negotiations.

The headline we need. The story we deserve.
She Steals Surfboards by the Seashore. She’s a Sea Otter.
California wildlife officials are hoping to apprehend a 5-year-old sea otter, who has a knack for riding the waves after committing longboard larceny.

Joy Ride is so funny and also made me cry — please buy a ticket this weekend: if we want movies with diverse casts that are actual diverse genres (like hilarious r-rates comedies!) to get wide releases — we have to buy the tickets. Or studios won’t buy them! So go see it! It’s so good!
