I just saw that the Narnia reboot is going to have "The Magician's Nephew" set in the 1950s, which makes "The Lion, Witch, And the Wardrobe" set in the 90s?!?!!? This makes me go from skeptical on whether it would be good to gay up pessimistic.

As Someone that lives in the middle of conservative Texas that's immunocompromised after a liver transplant this is the reality of my life, Not to mention I work front end so I have to deal with people being assholes about it too. They usually quiet down once I mention my transplant at least.
