The Dodo discussed its no AI stance with this video and talked about how to spot AI animal videos.

What's interesting about the AI video (beyond what they bring out) is that everyone's body language, young, old, man, woman, is identical. They're digital puppets.

This is a really good point that I had not run into before: these "creators" have no further insight into their alleged creation than the average audience member and that is why it cannot be called art (besides all the other obvious reasons).

(🦋) BLUESKY NEWS: The South African Sociopath—everyone knows who I mean—has apparently just made a series of changes to Twitter that launched a new exodus. The per-second growth rate here at BlueSky is now *more than triple* what it was yesterday.

So welcome, Twitter refugees! This is *way* better.

Welcome, Twitter escapees/new Bluesky users. Four quick tips:

1. Starter packs are awesome. I made a game dev one here -> go.bsky.app/RxQCsKS

2. Bluesky's block is much more potent. Do not quote, or dunk. There's no pay-to-win so silence does remove nasty people. Blocks and move on copiously.

The pushback against gen ai with every studio that says they're using it is super intense... and I know they're on social media seeing it happen every time.

And yet, they keep pushing that button.

I don't get it.

this field biologist does a great job highlighting the insidiousness of AI editing

these one-click AI edit buttons are incredibly appealing to many photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, and are framed as innocuous

this is worth sharing and educating people about

Despite what you hear from fossil fuel-funded politicians, the U.K has just generated a record amount of clean, domestic wind energy.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

I wonder how "resilient" are gamers against this AI nonsense we've seen in past years, I think we are trained to rebel against fake AI stuff, I mean.

If someone is using an aim-bot in an online shooting game, we call them a cheater, fair and simple.

Or bots mimicking humans in a game? That's bad.

Job searching in 2025 is hell.

You get to jump through hoops and keep smiling while a f*cking AI just ghosts you for whatever reason, and probably not even a human being was even aware that you were there, nor that it spat you out.

Ginny Di makes an excellent underrepresented point here in that the secondary damage caused by AI is that so many artists have to defend our own work as organic now. I had to put out a statement that BLACK PHONE 2 contained no AI because assholes decided to accuse us of using it and no other reason.
I love paying human artists and I hate gen AI 🩵

I'm not here to fight about whether or not AI is ethical (I've made my decision and I doubt I'm gonna change yours.) I'm just here to talk about what I and many other artists have been dealing with as we adjust to a new media landscape.

This was well done and also what I’ve been saying for years, glad to see more people on it
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?
