Has Venezuela considered simply cutting the Trump Family Cartel in on some oil revenue? Probably cheaper than war.

A drone strike followed by another drone strike an hour later isn’t even a “mist of war” let alone a “fog.”
Hegseth's "fog of war" claim is nonsense, if this account of what video shows is correct: The two men obviously were visible.

Tom Cotton's claims also in doubt: Rep Smith says drugs not visible. The decision that the men were still in the fight looks very shaky:

A win - or even coming within a couple points of winning - stops the gerrymandering nonsense in its tracks. No Republican will want to narrow their margins to gain an extra seat for a demented lame duck president.

A Trump supporter started murdering his way through an assassination list of Democratic law makers FIVE MONTHS AGO. He murdered my colleague Melissa Hortman, and her husband Mark — and attempted to assassinate my dear friend John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. I was also on the hit list. WTF

Senate Democrats have forgotten how strikes work. There is shared pain to accomplish your goal. As long as you keep the public on your side (they were) you can break management. @schumer.senate.gov this is beyond pathetic.

Dems need to start speaker election process. Call this lying mfer’s bluff. Bring some actual attention and accountability. Just do it Dems. Not hard. It may be performative but it’ll generate press.
Mike Johnson: "Democrats are required to open the government. They keep saying, 'Republicans are in charge of government.' We aren't!"

Imagine if Democrats had spent any effort developing a messaging apparatus as robust as the right. Then we could generate the appropriate outrage response instead of relying on <checks notes> billionaire owned media.
Imagine if KJP or Psaki had said this about the Republican base: not just that half of them were “deplorables” but that the GOP’s “main constituency is made up of domestic terrorists, white supremacists, and violent criminals”? The media, not just Fox, would be in meltdown. GOP would be screaming!
Leavitt: "The Democrat Party's main constituency is made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals."

Is there an ACT Blue for Democratic candidates that say they will fire everyone currently working for ICE and then prosecute these jack-booted MFers?
The entire incident is infuriating and terrifying. She’s a Latina woman who was working a service job. On her way home late at night, with her headphones in, she was detained for an hour by masked federal agents who wouldn’t give her their names.

Can't enforce watermarking. We need to digitally sign video frames that come from phones and cameras in much the same way we use certificates to authenticate websites.
All AI content should be required to have watermarks.

All of it.
I told OpenAI's Sora to make a video showing "Body cam footage of cops arresting a dark skinned man in a department store." It took less than a minute.

Insurance companies also believe in global warming. Huh.
it's so funny to see America's health insurance companies be like "look. If there's one thing we love it's denying you care. but we ran the numbers - and we cannot BELIEVE we're saying this - and it's cheaper for us to just pay for the vaccines than deal with you going to the ER."
Regardless of the disgraceful nonsense we will likely hear from this administration in the coming days on vaccine “recommendations,” Americas healthcare insurers issued a joint statement tonight saying coverage for Covid and flu shots will remain unchanged from prior years.

Speaks for itself.

For those of us who work in the higher ed arena, a thousand times this. He was not going about it the right way. He 100% sought to shut down free speech and research at universities through threats of violence and intimidation.
I know multiple professors who got death threats because of his website.

Are we sure the consultants shaping Democratic messaging aren’t being bribed by the GOP? How else to explain how spectacularly bad they are at this.
August 25, 2025 at 12:32 AM
Seems we’re no longer talking about the Epstein Files. Why aren’t our Democratic leaders continually pushing this front and center? Make your points on whatever, but end with “and then there is the Epstein Files which show our President is a child rapist - or at least knew about it and did nothing.”
August 19, 2025 at 11:39 AM
Maybe they’ll stumble upon the Epstein files while wandering around DC.
This is sad.

New video shows FBI, MPD, and DEA agents patrolling the streets of the Georgetown neighborhoods of Washington, DC, like it’s some kind of war zone.

This isn’t a “crime emergency” — it’s pure political theater by Trump.
