…That the dying father has set the gryphons on, potentially, his son, so rather than just trying to clear him if possible he wants justice above all for the victim
And that it makes the other victims matter, that heartbreaking Liz Fraser scene, not just expendable and shamed.

Well it's the big one in #MissMarple - Nemesis. Let's just be clear: this is the best of the lot so far, probably full stop. But it's placing is perfect: this story elevates Marple, and to do that you have to have formed your opinion of who she is and what she does before you go in.

Just a reminder that there's a Will Shakespeare miniseries from the heyday of BBC historicals starring Tim Curry as Shakespeare and Ian McShane as Marlowe, and it's on youtube:

UK public has paid £200bn to shareholders of key industries since privatisation.

In public ownership that would have gone into infrastructure, lower bills.

Privatisation delivered low investment, high bills, no tax on dividends to foreign investors.

No end to nightmare without public ownership.

THE SEARCHERS is back at the PCC on Boxing Day - this time from a stunning new 4K restoration. John Ford’s frontier epic remains one of the towering achievements of American cinema: a sweeping Western, a haunted character study and a film whose influence is everywhere.

I had fond feelings but apparently very few actual memories of #BattleBeyondTheStars - the clones, the arm, and for some reason Robert Vaughn looking like he's sinking into an overly soft sofa as he flies into battle - so I took this as a sign it was time to rewatch.

Oh no, #StrangeNewWorlds - what on earth did you do that for? After a perfectly fine season finale that combined Alien with a love letter to community, you pull out your actual season finale and combine "there's only one way this ends" with "Yeah, but TOS was better" and rampant militarism.

But don't you see? If ADHDers like me get diagnosed and treated, we might have happy, fulfilled, lives not completely eaten up by the self-loathing and guilt that are the only things that allow us to even semi-function.
And people who don't hate themselves make Wes Streeting bitterly jealous.
An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."
