I've really noticed this during the election. Twitter has been a fire hose of right-wing content in a way that it never was during the past few elections. Part of that is people on the left/center quitting the platform, but structure elements also have to play a role.

Debate review: Carney is trying to pretend he's not the incumbent. Poilievre is trying to pretend he hasn't been running as Trump-lite for the last two years. I suspect both parties got the news clips they were hoping for.

Trump has attacked trans people, immigrants, government employees, the industrial base of other countries, and countries and places benefiting from US aid. If you don't think he's been delivering "treats" then you fundamentally don't understand the coalition that elected him.
it's still just striking to me that we're five weeks into this, and neither trump nor musk are offering up any treats, to anyone. everything is bad news. everything makes life harder. the only thing they're offering is a tax cut for *extremely* wealthy people, at the expense of *everyone* else.
