Somebody over at Google must’ve been traumatized by trying to hit a word count bc why, in the year of our Lord 2025, is no word count still the default on GoogleDocs? I feel like most people want it there, or are at least accustomed to it being there.

Urging me to download an app is one thing. Badgering me, even. But companies that make it absolutely mandatory to download their app to even LOOK at something make me want to drive to their headquarters and start slashing tires

This is now my second-favorite explanation of music theory after, of course, Jacob Gran's "composer fan fiction".
Music is basically a detective novel where the musicians are the suspects/criminals, the listener is the detective and of course the music is the crime. The listener tries to determine what happened and what was the motivation, while the musicians try to obscure this, so they can get away with it.
