I need help with an aging Bruker ion trap mass spectrometer. I need to replace the glass (entrance) capillary. Bruker doesn't carry them anymore, but says Agilent made them. Agilent won't even talk to me because it's not one of their instruments. Ideas, anyone?

This! Getting funded by NSF, NIH, DoE, etc. is incredibly tough.
people need to internalize, very quickly, that federal research grants are a hypercompetitive contracting process not charity, and that what Uncle Sam gets in return for that money is American dominance in the future

If you supported a 10 year old American child with brain cancer, on her way to medical treatment, being deported because her parents are undocumented (but have no criminal records), then you’re a horrific person and I’m not sure how you sleep at night.

RFK Jr. thinks that a clinical trial should be done for the entire childhood vaccine schedule. Here’s why that will never happen.
1. You can’t do a randomized trial of something that we already know is safe and effective. There would have to be a placebo group that didn’t get vaxxed. Unethical.

Just watched an episode of Finding Your Roots. Rubén Blades, one of the guests, talked about "stupidity" when the subject was racism. That's the most concise and correct assessment ever.
