It has been wild to see what were always the two most paranoid pro-Second Amendment scenarios—the government snatching people away and sending occupying armies into communities—literally happen this year, to the delight of conservatives
There can’t be any gun restrictions because we have to protect against federal government tyranny, and if kids get shot we just have to live with it. Also the President can send troops to cities because the federal government can do whatever it wants. These two ideas are consistent and reasonable.

I have been learning Mishayot Moed with my daughter since Sukkot of 2023. The plan was to begin with my son in December, following daughter's bat mitzvah. Son decided on Shabbat that he is ready now. So we began with Brachot 1:1. He is very mesudar and wouldn't think of starting elsewhere.
