One thing I always want to ask these masculinity entrepreneurs is why men can’t look to women as role models, and can’t see in women models of human virtue and thriving that are worth emulating. After all, women look to men for these all the time.

Can @ifbookspod.bsky.social or @inbedwiththeright.bsky.social do an episode about this dude and his book?

really is incredible how often "men are having a problem, let's fix it using someone else's entire life" comes up. does the institute for family studies understand that children are whole complete human beings whose existence cannot be used as a coping mechanism for their fathers' anxieties? (no)

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

If he does pull this out, there's a book to be written about how he and his cronies transformed one of the most democratically engaged cities in America into a bitter, cynical place where a widely despised mayor can somehow magically win three terms.
Minneapolis mayoral results will continue to be tabulated tomorrow. Mayor Jacob Frey says "it looks damn good for us." He says "Minneapolis is on the rise."

Glad for my ward and the park board. Not feeling overly optimistic about mayor and the council majority.

Elizabeth Schaffer and another term for that jackass. Y’all have lost your minds.

The amount of hedging you have to do to be on the left and try to talk to your peers, your parents, your coworkers - your boss!! - about things you think are straightforwardly moral yes or no questions is monumental
Every day, as a leftist on Long Island, I bite my tongue. Around the people who make my children's prescriptions. Around the people who control whether I can continue to live in my apartment. Around my employers. That's where free speech is contested and conservatives like it that way. They're liars
I will not link to it. I just want to reiterate that thousands of books have been banned by the right. And American Dirt sold millions of copies.

I hope people understand that the anomaly here aren’t the conditions—the conditions are very typical—the anomaly is that they put a number of documented workers from a high-income country in those conditions. This is how people are treated in custody routinely
korean reporting is nightmarish on the conditions Korean workers were contained in

Information environment has reached its grotesque conclusion in that there is a very real killer out there who has not been identified, apprehended, or investigated, a detail practically inconsequential to nearly every commentator’s purposes.

This is a crazy thing to write and think about a person who made a media career out of being a grotesque troll.

National Dems send endless emails begging for money but almost never organize people for real action.

Mamdani is now doing the opposite. Telling supporters to close their checkbooks and put on their walking shoes to go talk to their neighbors.
I am once again asking you to stop sending us money.

But we do need your time. ⏰

The annoying spam texts destroying the Democratic brand:

$678M raised through those spam tactics

$282M to one consulting firm: Mothership Strategies.

$11M to actual campaigns (1.6%)

The party isn’t just treating donors like marks—it’s being fleeced itself yet continues to back Mothership.

How a single consulting firm extracted $282 million from a network of spam PACs while delivering just $11 million to actual campaigns.

Firing and demoralizing feminized jobs as enemies of the state while brazenly bribing men with violent jobs that almost instantly puts them into the middle of middle class is very basic gendered warfare. Fulfilling the manosphere’s promise.
It is insane to me that the government can find money to pay ICE agents increasingly larger sums of money, yet teachers have to buy their own pencils.

I think Democrats should offer voters a broadly defined anti-fraud platform. Yes, obviously, start with Trump’s influence peddling, but don’t stop there. Online fraud is massive, almost every phone call you get is a scam, and the solution has to be federal or it just won’t work.
Still, more than 7-in-10 U.S. adults have been a victim of an online scam or attack like credit card fraud, ransomware or online shopping scams. www.pewresearch.org/...
