People with glasses and contacts have to realize that we have a disability that just happens to be highly accommodated for in modern society and that accommodation is the only reason why poor eyesight is not considered a disability.

Ngl I am having a tough time this week on a lot of levels. Coworker who already watched thinks I will enjoy this week’s ep of Severance, just on basis of the show. Friends, I am going in with trepidation. Here I go.

Road temperatures have remained below freezing. We have received reports of freezing rain in Belmont County, OH and accidents on I-70. If you are out on the roads, take it slow and give yourself some extra time.

Here is where I am too.
This week has been so over-the-top banana pants on work, news, and personal fronts that I feel like I will need to space out having the feelings on individual things over the rest of my life because I am physically too small to process them all faster than that. I feel eerily calm.

For many years when people asked me what inspired me to write, I would say "my mortgage." They laughed, which was the intent, but it was also true. Writing is my job, I don't have another. If I don't write, bills don't get paid.
Years ago I went to sci-fi con. Richard Lynch was a guest of honor. He was a great character actor. He had the best answer in a Q&A ever. A woman asked what was his criteria for choosing a role. Without missing a beat, he replied, “ The rent was due”.
