1. Research before you share any url.
2. If you don’t have time to research it, don’t share it.
3. Be skeptical about links others share from sites you don’t know or have any experience with. Use critical thinking skills.

Platforms like Signal (and Wikipedia) need to be supported and protected. There is a stark contrast between someone like Meredith Whittaker and monsters like Musk, Zuck and Bezos. The later do not care about you, only your money and the power it brings them.

We need alternative to the Google/Microsoft monopolies on search. Without competition, there is little incentive to stop their manipulative practices. I’d love to see Qwant/Ecosia build a viable alternative. Even better if other orgs follow. #technews #diversifytech

I’ve been thinking more about more about how pre-internet creatives shared their work and how things like “algorithms” didn’t influence creative decisions either consciously or subconsciously.

I feel it's time to create like we did back then, and if we promote online, it’s more of an afterthought.

Meredith Whittaker is the kind of person we need in the tech industry.

Instead of the egotistical, narcissists that currently run the biggest companies. You know their names. I don't need to post them here and feed their jackass egos.

TBH, software companies that tout "New AI Features" are a huge turnoff now. This trend contributed to me cancelling my Adobe subscription and finding different solutions. Most of these new "AI Features" are just half-baked, fairly useless in practice, marketing buzzwords. Ooo, look, we have AI now.

Vinyl, cassettes, film photography and similar are all making a comeback, and the trend is largely due to people under thirty. I see this as evidence of our collective digital burnout. Social media, work environments, constant connectivity, A.I. have become incredibly toxic. Maybe a reset is needed.

I'm enjoying this refreshingly "musk-free" platform. Nice to see a lot the Twitter profiles I used to follow are using it already.
