This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

And Fahrenheit 451.
And A Brave New World. And The Handmaid‘s Tale.
And The Giver.
And The Road.
And The Lottery.
And The Parable of the Sower.
And The Hunger Games.

I know what I’m seeing.

It's wild to me how ostensibly smart people cannot/could not/will not see what is so obvious.

@mmasnick.bsky.social nails it. And my hunch is we'd be a better society if the Very Serious People with the Very Serious Ideas opened their fucking eyes.

This man will not be fired for calling for the murder of American citizens, yet multiple journalists/reporters/teachers lost their job for accurately reporting things Charlie Kirk actually said and stood for.

But it’s the “violent left” that’s the problem

Aside from all the dangerous things he said today, this moment reveals his Swiss cheese of a brain. He completely misunderstands the question and turns it into a monologue about himself. Just as bad, if not worse, than any of Biden's lapses. And his toadies all just silently ignore his confusion.

Elon Musk doesn't care about efficiency, and here's the proof:

I called for an investigation into Musk's cuts at the IRS. Because he fired so many staff that audit wealthy tax cheats, we could lose $323 BILLION in tax revenue over the next decade.

Nothing efficient about that.

Three days ago a Republican state senator in Minnesota submitted a bill declaring "Trump Derangement Syndrome" to be a certifiable mental illness. It was a funny stunt. Anyway, today he was arrested for soliciting a minor, which is not a funny stunt and a sign of an actual psychological disorder.
State Sen. Justin Eichorn, R-Grand Rapids, was arrested Monday for allegedly soliciting a minor for prostitution. The Bloomington Police Department said detectives communicated with Eichorn “who thought he was talking to a 16-year-old female” and detectives then arranged a meetup on Monday.
