What are the chances that temperature data is being manipulated by the Trump admin? My weather app says 104, but my shaded thermometer is reading 110. I don't expect it to be 100% the same but I've never seen it this much off for days at a time...

One of the weird things about late diagnosed A(u)DHD is the waves of panic and shame that come through that had previously been associated with not doing what I was "supposed" to be doing, but I stop and realize I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing.

#ADHD pro tip
If you often struggle to remember to put your garbage bins away after trash pick up, just forget to put them out before trash day and you'll already be one step ahead!

The #climbing gym I go to, and many other I've seen, have that dusty clipboard with names and numbers for people looking for #belay buddies. I'm making a app to hopefully make the process a simpler.
The idea: put up a QR code, user scans, user checks-in, recently checked in users get notification.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

I had some textured floor/deck paint left over from another project and wanted to see how it would work on the wall. It seems to work great! Just need to wait for it to fully cure before I test it out. Then I thought the big brown slab was a bit drab so I got creative with some more leftover paints.

Here's the holds I've designed so far if anyone else wants to try them out 😁

Does this mean I'll actually stay home instead of going to the climbing gym tomorrow? Doubtful, but I'm proud of the progress I've made and it's finally a large enough surface area to set something interesting! Planning some overhang, but that's going to require a larger budget. Textured paint soon!

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but Ironheart is awful. Lazy writing, plot holes the size of Texas, and racist. I should have just quit on episode one when they decided their dark skinned protagonist needed to start selling her own billion dollar inventions for petty cash illegally.

All the holds I had been printing were publicly shared files. Today I printed the first of my designs 😁
The foot chip and a small juggy crimp. I'm happy with how both turned out and have a bunch more in the print queue.

My overall collection is growing fast.

Sand fill is cheap and effective, but feels heavier than just resin. I'll weigh the ones I have done one of each fill with tomorrow when I swap out holds out and confirm. I definitely have enough to actually set some interesting problems, now I just need to wait for the rest of the hardware.

Test tested successfully.
I have another salvaged door, still in one piece (8ft tall x ~3ft wide). I'd love to use it to support the plywood I'm planning on using but it's very heavy. Bolts matching the t-nuts won't get here until next Thursday so I have time to decide.
Printing more holds for now.

Make no mistake. ICE isn't just being used for immigration enforcement. As we are already seeing it's Trump's Gestapo, who are also being used to intimidate and arrest people who speak out against the orange menace or his policies.
NEW from me: The GOP megabill will add $171 billion to immigration enforcement and ICE, a gigantic sum that'll pour funds into a vast network of detention + hire thousands of ICE agents and fund sheriffs.

I talked to an expert on just what to expect:

How the GOP Megabill Would Turbocharge Local Immigration Enforcement - Bolts
Congress is poised to pour tens of billions of dollars into more immigration detention, private jails, and border operations, plus new ICE partnerships with local police and sheriffs.

Incredible scene.

FBI: Do you like Marx?

Mhmood Mamdani: I haven’t met him.

FBI: No, no, he’s dead.

MM: Wow, what happened?

FBI: No, no, he died long ago. ... He wrote that poor people should not be poor.

MM: Sounds amazing.

Test hold turned out great! Well enough to make a bunch more.

Also scrounged some scrap and hardware from an old swing set to make a test wall while I wait for the funds for a few sheets of 3/4" plywood and the bolts.

I need to run the numbers tomorrow and see what the real cost per hold will be.

@cursor.com.web.brid.gy is getting better at handling bigger tasks, and worse at handling specific requests.
Some of the forethought and handling things I was about to ask for that blew me away in the past, is starting to become cumbersome as it's creating more work instead of less.

Experimenting to find ways to make durable, fun, and inexpensive climbing holds. I've been able to 3d print some portable fingerboards, but they take quite a bit of filament and long print times. By setting the bottom layers to zero and gyroid infill I can create the shells and fill with epoxy.
