It's been another rough week for pedestrians and cyclists in Philly. Two cyclists hit, one critically injured and another (Dominique Jones) dead. Two pedestrians struck while on the sidewalk in CC, both seriously injured. One lost their leg.

Yesterday, 28-year-old Dominique Jones was killed while riding his bicycle by a motorist at 25th & Diamond in Strawberry Mansion.

Traffic violence is real violence, and our city can do more to prevent these deaths.

This is why reading is important. 50% of USians read so poorly that they are unable to perform simple tasks such as reading prescription drug labels. At least 45 million are functionally illiterate; 130 million more can't finish a children's book.

You don’t have to accept a Trump presidency nor recognize the legitimacy of a government if it is actively attempting to harm you, democracy is a tool for governance but if that tool is broken by corruption or used to do you harm, you’ll need to stand up for yourself and not just take it quietly.
