In the wake of Prop Q failing, #atxcouncil shd eliminate the next police cadet class and divert the $ to APD's deferred maintenance list. State law won't let them *cut* the police budget, but they can and MUST stop ballooning it in budget busting ways. Not ideal, but it's what the voters demanded.

We need all good movies to be more evenly released throughout the year instead of clumping together. Let's say one a week.

I keep witnessing large trucks doing 3 point turns to get out of normal restaurant parking spaces. Is it not annoying as hell to drive a big truck?

I was watching a video from 1988 then thought I saw something strange. I paused and zoomed in and saw on a paper the interface text of a computer system I maintain.

If you’re ever desperate for a Times article, there’s a 90% chance your local library offers free digital access to the Times with a library card. it’s their job to do that for you. you do not have to pay for it yourself. Cancel your sub
one thing that's nice about canceling your New York Times sub is every week you get at least one or two stories shared on here that make you say, "yeah, it rocks that I did that, I only wish I could do it again." highly recommend you cancel yours if you haven't already

This week in addition to 7+ campaign meetings plus a few canvasses, Austin DSA's calendar has a run club, a lifting group, a coworking session, a jenga competition, and of course last night's election results watch party.
The solution to the male loneliness epidemic is attending a local Democratic Party canvassing event.
WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Gen Z women aren't playing around.

Current tally for DSA nationally endorsed candidates. Most are for city council positions.

There are other campaigns that didn't seek national endorsement and were only run at the chapter level.
