I’m currently employed in manufacturing. Tool and diemaker simply do not have the capacity to actually make the amount of tooling that would be necessary to reshore even like 5% of currently overseas manufacturing. We’re already at like 16 week lead times.
these people actually think like 6 months from now companies like nike are just gonna have manufacturing plants fully staffed, operational and churning out the same product at the same price and we’re just going to go back to normal, i feel like im losing my mind

We bought a product for our house from Britain, and got hit with a tariff charge!! It's not charged at the point of sell, but UPS collects it on delivery. So online orders may have an unexpected 25% surcharge!
