Trump pardoned Paul Walczak, a nursing home executive who illegally withheld millions from his workers' paychecks (while buying a luxury yacht).

The pardon came after his mother attended a $1M-per-person Trump fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago last month.

Everything is for sale.

Look I'm not Native Hawaiian and I'm not seeing this film, I could be talking out of my ass, but I feel like saying that kids of color will be fine if you give them up for adoption to pursue your own dreams because The System Works is one of the most colonial thing Disney has ever done.

It's horrible specially when think about how this plot point in the original also was a comment about how cs constantly tries to separe POC families
Live action Lilo and Stitch spoilers:

"She adopts her sister? No no no, she should be in college and having a future and not saddled with a kid! Foist the rugrat off on the neighbor!"

Like I think they *tried* to do a good thing but it does not come off as a good thing.

Oof these movies, I swear.
THAT'S HOW THE LIVE ACTION LILO AND STITCH ENDS!?

Christ, that's hilariously bad.

8. It is difficult to overstate what a catastrophe this will be for the US research and education systems, particular in biomedical fields.

It is deliberate and wanton devastation entirely out of scale with any concern about DEI activities on campuses.

The goal is destroy US universities.

Disappointing new study showing - once again - that women are leaving research careers at far higher levels than men

Happy to share this study led by Betty Bigio, Carla Nasca (NYU) and our team @ufrjoficial.bsky.social just published in Molecular Psychiatry. Here, using two cohorts, we show that plasma carnitine levels are reduced in women with cognitive impairment and dementia.

"There will be nothing left"

Researchers in Argentina are facing massive budget cuts, with their projects also being evaluated on ideological grounds — for signs of "deviations" like communism — and rejected if they don't align with the government's political agenda.

I want to comment on this for the english community

Notice how this mexican neo-nazi scumbag wasn't able to do a mass shooting because, for all the faults on the mexican state, at least guns aren't readily available to any crazy bastard. He was just able to do 2 swings before being neutralized

The main problem with drinking unpasteurised, raw milk, is not that you may become seriously ill or may even kill you

It introduces a highly adaptable influenza virus, H5N1, into the human population

Selecting for mutations/reassortments facilitating human to human transmission

50% mortality

🧪🦠
Drinking raw, unpasteurised, milk is a bad idea.

It has no nutritional benefits, but it will expose you to a wide range of pathogens like tuberculosis and Salmonella

Now also bird flu. The mortality rate of bird flu is around 50%

Your choice.

There is growing evidence that we are experiencing an acceleration in the rate of climate warming. I posted earlier that the rate of CO2 increase observed in the Keeling Curve had shifted from 9 yr for a local min CO2 to become a local max near the 1960’s to just 3 yrs near present. 🧪
Has global warming accelerated in recent decades? If we look at the rate of warming between 1970 and 2008 and extend it through present, we see that almost all years since 2015 are above the previous trend.

We are heading to an era of profound anti-intellectualism, an active attack to any pursue of knowledge and understanding, specially if that pursue needs money, it's seen as "wasteful". And this attack on the production of human knowledge is lead by the alt-right
