Electronics tinkerer, model kit builder, pinball wizard, video game player, and now learning to draw. I swear I'm narrowing down my hobbies despite my ADHD. I also seem to be amassing a collection of cassettes while I nourish my love for music.
I have so much I want to rage-agree about. The idealized "full-time student" model is a load of shit. I remember being told I would spend 2-4 hours for every credit hour I took at uni. For a 12 credit hour week, that means 36 to 60 hours of *my* life per week were to be spent on schoolwork.
I'm going to float this nuclear take: maybe students are increasingly turning to ShitGPT and other deskilling devices because the structure of the modern university has made it impossible for them to acquire skill in a deep way.

my take on whether revulsion to all AI is an overreaction: nah. It's a very justifiable reaction.
I have worked on many things that have been called AI, and the only common theme is that "AI" is a marketing term.

The bad idea guy is back with more bad ideas.
I think he knows this is bad, personally, and just doesn't care because he gets to cozy up with bigger, richer tech executives.
