bike rides with no cars around waaaaay more vibey than full of cars.

which is to say.....cars ruin vibes.

I've never been partial to wearing bright colors. But on a whim, I decided to paint my fingernails a bright orange and like... I get it now! I get the allure. It makes me feel like a poison dart frog warning off predators with flashy little danger flags. It's glorious! ☠️🐸

so the thing is

just because someone is not posting about every horror, does not mean they aren't paying attention or being active in opposition, and I do hope people can learn to read for other signs of resistance rather than demand people create a 24/7 feed of screaming

I've been biking to and from the train to get to work. It makes my commute faster and more pleasant. I don't pay for parking. And I get a lot of questions bike-curious people about doing the same.

Unless you are actively deceiving someone about it, it is impossible to cheat at riding a bike:

Ride an ebike!
Get off and push on hills!
Take the train part way!
Ride however works for you!
