I got approved for 2 ARCs back to back and now I’m STRESSING (neither book needs a review until closer to the end of the year) WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF (I literally have so much time and I’m so excited to read these)

My (very conservative and Christian) dad introduced me to Dune at 8 or nine years old. I read (and reread) the entire series twice by the time I was 13. He told me later he didn’t remember how much sex and violence was in the later books.

Foundation on Apple TV isn’t a good adaption of Foundation Saga by Asimov (and I love that for them, I don’t like those books and I love this show). Honestly, it feels like an adaptation in spirit of A Memory Called Empire by Arkady. In this essay I will—
