Everybody should have a government stipend that covers their living costs. Just simply for existing, no strings attached.
Humans like Doing Tasks. People wouldn’t quit work en masse just because their needs are met. Society wouldn’t crumble.

I think the biggest difference between our irl world and Midir is the yearly calendar. Midir doesn't have months- just seasons: Dew, Sun, Storm, Frost. Each season has approximately 90 days.
Years are tracked by era. Every time a new era begins, the year starts back at 1.

In my seafaring series, time doesn't exist in the realm where the gods live. This, of course, makes writing anything that takes place in the divine realm rather tricky, lol. But the gods of Midir did not create time--mortalkind developed the concept of time.
