When I go to the tanning shop and go on one of the vertical sunbeds, I imagine I'm the Doner meat on a rotisserie and rotate, very slowly. When the buzzer goes to say my minutes are up, I'll mutter, "would you like salad on your kebab, Sir?" I'm not sure why I do this.

What an incredible force for good.
I feel privileged to be a cog in the @artsemergency.bsky.social machine. 🚨

£1.6M worth of volunteer time & expertise redistributed over the past 10+ years to underrepresented young people committed to creative careers.

Since I set up @artsemergency.bsky.social (not inc 2y piloting & discursively developing a project) FOUR people have signed up to our community EVERY DAY. That’s now 17,200 people over the past 12 years. 90% of our team & 100% of our trustee board would have been eligible for the project aged 16🧵

We support Equity's call to scrap the Minimum Income Floor in Universal Credit. It's pushing creative workers out of the arts, disabled workers out of work, and claimants into poverty.

Nearly every lyric needs replacing (even a lot of the ones they’ve kept in the new version), so could we not just write a new song?

The most useful function of a theatre outreach or participation department is not, as people often think, to change people outside 'in the community'. It's to change the organisation itself.
