See the other thing about working for the New York Times is that means not having a real editor who will say “are you sure you wanna do that?” And actually, editors are good

The problem isn't that America lacks abundance.

The problem is that the abundance is being hoarded by the very rich.

Pass it on.

Andrew Cuomo thinks its absurd for the city try to to own a grocery story while New York State owns three (!) ski resorts and Cuomo personally oversaw their operation, even heralding it in his state of the state address.

Look it up if you don’t believe me.

In light of Mamdani's performance, is astonishing there aren't more insurgent primary campaigns. Democratic establishment is discredited. Power is just sitting there like a mountain of gold but instead of being guarded by a fire-breathing dragon, it's fossils like Chuck Schumer

Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?"

The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.

One of the most insidious media messages is seen in the depiction of people wanting medical care (they paid for) in order to stay alive. Their desire to remain alive is depicted as a greedy form of "entitlement" & politicians' effort to end such "entitlements" is cast as a brave underdog cause.

Paul Robeson was a real one. An amazing man.

"Wherever I've been in the world, the first to die in every struggle against fascism, were always the Communists."

I love everything this amazing man stood for. A great artist, athlete, and Pan-African socialist and civil rights activist. Amazing man!

“And then I grew up … and I read books.”

As someone else who’s proud of his NC ties, I respect the hell out of @davidjoy.bsky.social for speaking out like this.
WATCH: “You’re saying you revere a time when their ancestors were in bondage.”

In NC, @davidjoy.bsky.social powerfully explains why it’s wrong to remove a “compromise plaque” without public input, and why revering the confederacy is offensive.
