My parents bought an island in Maine. I spend my summers there, away from civilization and without running water.

My 3 adopted daughters' dad is in prison. I take them to visit him and am surprised by how much we've all connected.
I adopted my daughters in 2022 after years of fostering them. Their biological father is in prison and I bring them often so they can connect.

I changed my last name when I married. I've been divorced for 16 years and am still trying to change it back.

I'm a clinical psychologist and parent of teens. My younger patients gave me perspective on what my kids are going through.
Seeing my patients struggle with similar things as my kids gave me perspective. It also reminded me of how I felt growing up.
