tiktok is no longer addictive for me because i’ve trained my fyp to only show me videos that have less than 50 likes. i still enjoy the content — i see stuff that the random, normal people who uploaded it didn’t actually expect anyone to see. much more intimate, calmer feed.

thinking about how i was raised by an apocalyptic Christian mom who gave me advice such as it didn’t matter what i majored in, what job i got, or how much money i saved bc my adulthood would be cut short by the collapse of society. & she wonders why i struggle to live a productive, meaningful life 🙃

lately I am so fucking angry thinking about the avalanche of immoral and/or illegal things trump & his gov have done, from last term to now, and how it all just seems to get washed from public memory when the next horrible thing happens. when will all these rocks actually be called a mountain?
