The issue with monetary policy leaning so heavily on core PCE and initial jobless claims data is those metrics are a mix of lagging (inflation data) and coincident (initial claims) -- they can tell you where you are but they give you no insight on where we're going. It's a recipe for being late.

Just shows how tech-centric investors are. AI of course might be over-investing but the non-tech economy is stagnating or in recession and definitely isn’t overinvesting.

Haven’t had to block many people on here in awhile. Not sure if enough mutual blocks have occurred by now to make it less of an issue, emotions have cooled off, or people have just found their niche communities on here after a year of fluidity.
