This is a good take that we should apply broadly within—and beyond—education. What each of us does today says a lot about our moral compasses.
I continue to be very disappointed in the major education organizations that have not said a word about the Trump administration's destructive policies towards educators, students & their families. For what it's worth, I will never write anything for them or give them any money again.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

Yes! Part of a discussion I had with @volts.wtf years ago. Conservatives spent years framing cities as not-“real” America, and too many urban progressives accepted that baggage, like there was something wrong/un-American about city living as a lifestyle.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that a big piece of Mamdani’s campaign was simply “cities are cool and lots of people enjoy living in them” which in and of itself dismantles alot of rightwing talking points

Whenever you hear a story of a kid "beating the odds," it's fine to cheer and feel inspired and all the normal human responses.
