This is what pisses me off the most about Labour's backtracking on non-dom status.

Reeves said: "We have been listening to the concerns that have been raised by the non-dom community."

But not listening to pensioners, Waspi women, the poor or the disabled.

Rachel Reeves to soften non-dom tax changes
It comes after critics warned the plans could prompt wealthy people to leave the UK.

The Labour Party today is not the Labour Party of your grandfather.
Don't vote Labour for your grandfather - vote Independence for your grandchildren.

I wonder how many other Labour MPs and MSPs promised this, and have very quickly removed their promise from their website or social networks? We won't forget. The Waspi women won't forget.

This has to be one of the greatest betrayals of ordinary voters in a western country. These people should resign. Only honourable way out. It’s a terrible thing to have done yet again to vulnerable pensioners. They have been robbed. Ombudsman said to go ahead with compensation. How odious is this?

#WASPI Well done to all of the “Labour” MPs, who have resigned the whip, following Liz Kendal’s announcement that there will be NO compensation for WASPI Women. ————— Oh wait; the silence is deafening. #RedTories

🟪 Scottish pensioners already face one of the lowest state pensions in the developed world. But the group of Waspi women have suffered pension injustice that means they were short-changed on even that.

Ian Murray used to vociferously support the case for compensation to be paid to the WASPI Women. So much so he had his photo taken with them.

In the past 24 hours references to that appear to have been lost.

Happily I found them again!

This is Keir Starmer pictured at Scottish Labour conference in 2021 with two Waspi campaigners holding a sign saying he supports "fair and fast compensation" for 1950s women.

Today, four years later, and as PM, he gives them nothing ...

Anyone else thinking that Anas Sawar should resign today. The Waspi Women were told by Sarwar that categorically the UK Labour party would finally pay out the compensation that it is due. What a brass-necked petulant bairn of a man. The English Labour Party in Scotland died today. #scottishlabour

Labour formed a social contract with WASPI women, a contract they effortlessly threw on the fire today. If you’d like to know what a real social contract between people and state looks like, what it can deliver, what true citizen led sovereignty can achieve, then support #scottishindependence

Response to #WASPI petition: “It … requires serious consideration and the Government recognises it is important to do so as quickly as possible.” We need a firm date for implementation of proper compensation scheme, not platitudes.
