So sick and tired
People think I'm not an angry person because it's against my personal philosophy to yell, scream or hit.
But they don't know the seas of rage that tumble beneath the surface. My cornerstones of passion and indignation host a mighty temple to vitriol. There is fire in my chest and gore in my brain.

Lately I've experienced again a feeling I hadn't since childhood, that crushing ache in my chest like the only hope is to run away...
But, as an adult, there's nowhere to run. There's no magical safe haven waiting out there for us. This is our world, so all we can do is fight to make it worth it.

It's funny how easy it was to write the same guys "falling in love" over and over again when I had no idea what that really meant.

people seem to feel bad bc they were neil gaiman's fans and he was a horrible partner.
they shouldn't. they love his writing, which is a completely separate set of acts. they didn't know a thing about his personal life. his fans are innocent, not accomplices.

My dad is reading a manuscript of mine for the first time in my life. Not sure whether to be excited or nervous 😅

Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved.

Happy Thanksgiving….make sure to thank all the farm workers for getting that food to your table before they deport them and we’re gonna have to grow it and pick it on our own next year
