I already posted too much about my former employer last week but, if you're looking to make a Give to the Max Day donation, HOME Line is a great choice. Your dollar goes incredibly far. The organization is pretty lean and helps over 20,000 tenant households per year.

***COMMUNITY NEED*** The Saint Paul Opportunity Center (Dorothy Day Campus) needs socks, desperately, for their population experiencing homelessness who spend a large portion of their day outside and in cold spaces. If anyone has a connection, please let me know.

In the 80’s, they closed state-operated social services. Then, non-profits had to rise up to fund/meet needs. Then, states started giving non-profits funding to meet needs. Then, some non-profits started committing fraud. Now, states should municipalize social services and omit the middle man. 🤷🏼♀️

City council member showing up onsite for an ICE raid is exactly the type of leadership we need in our communities right now. Go Molly!
Our office is on site as the situation continues to evolve. There is a visible ICE presence, but we continue to be told this not a widespread immigration raid. We are working with community and government partners to monitor and ensure any action remains within the scope of a valid warrant.
