Getting more hair-trigger at blocking transphobes and reporting hate
I think part of the reason to shift away from ‘illegal immigration’ as a term is that it quickly is turned into calling people ‘illegals’ - not as an official term said by politicians (maybe some far-right pols) but definitely doing the rounds more than the term ‘irregular migration’ affords.

Did they really think that? I did see a comment about someone who plays real tennis who says that visiting players often drive to the court, but it wasn’t a complaint from that person on that post. I did snigger about the idea of real tennis players complaining tho, diamond soled shoes are pinching.

The configuration where people choose and register a persistent pseudonym as their username is the system under which people behave least abusively to others. Pure anonymity with no persistent pseudonyms usually shakes out as slightly less abusive than "real names", even.

but this one had a particularly good bit in the section called The Nuance Window. Dr Vanessa Heggie explained that a big part of this sort of exploration was actually about keeping your crew from getting bored(!) because you were basically bound to get stuck in ice for months or years(!!).

Some months ago certainly - the BBC article quotes "Local angler Billy Burnell regularly fishes in the area and said he noticed the pile in September", presumably not ages earlier but certainly long enough ago to have been spotted with drones if they were *actually* deployed vs being vapourware
