Reasonable to think the mass stirring up of hate, division and violence in the streets of this country would be illegal. Twitter and gbn get away with it without the bat of an eyelid, so I presume... it's not illegal?

Labour. Could we have a one year period of you being the good guys? Instead of stealth mode reform party guys? We've already had 15 years of the latter. Lots of love, half the country.

It's nice to dream. I suppose.

WTH are Labour playing at? Based on clear evidence presented by the legal sector here, trial by juries are clearly not the reason for delays in the justice system. Jury trials are an extremely important part of ensuring justice. So why the hell are Labour trying to get rid of these?(!)

Today the news will be about the government's proposals for juries.

Please read this thread so as to be informed about the actual practical problems in the criminal justice system - problems which will not be solved by this misconceived and illiberal tinkering.
Here is a list of reasons why some of my hearings and trials this year have been delayed and kicked off into the long grass, stuck in our record court backlog. Serious allegations which will now be tried *years* after the event. 🧵👇

Why are Tories not being hauled over the coals about this.

They said 350m could be saved and given to NHS.

They didn't say how much the country would lose from lost trade, lost investment, lost EU grants, EU funding, lost knowledge (eg on sharing crime data)

Yet Labour getting trolled at budget.

Uk propaganda media is so depressing. I've never seen them so overtly hostile as this past year to the Labour govt (notice how BBC always emphasise *Labour* govt. With the Tories it was just govt). All news and current affairs is a no go for me right now. Written a complaint to BBC.

Bbc politics (still) promoting headlines reeves may have painted a bleaker picture of the economy on the scale of bleakness.

What about the politicians that painted a great picture of Brexit. Where's the coverage of that.

GBN was the most watched news channel in the UK in recent months. I suppose the rise of Reform now makes sense.

Goodness, Laura Kuenssberg is making herself look like a right tit in her interviewing of Rachel Reeves. What is wrong with the political reporting team at the BBC?

The political coverage on the BBC website is like reading the mail or gbn. Venom towards progressiveness is clear. One can feel the hate and desire for divisiveness in the headlines. Chris Mason no longer needs to be subtle?

Katty Kay shares experience on her "unconventional" path into journalism(: Oxford, BOE, something else, journalism) for people looking for advice. Modelling (whilst being moved around by diplomat father) helped put down a deposit on flat. Luckily.

Starmer's Labour want to neutralise Reform by taking on migration- that's why they are parroting and placating. They want to save social democracy.

I wonder, can they save social democracy by stopping the turd Elon Musk (and his ilk) from inciting violence in our streets?

Sky news reported that 6 out of 7 kids in some English towns are living in poverty and are at risk of homelessness. That is a lot of children. Where has all the political focus been whilst this has been simmering away?
