It’s really shocking to me how out of his depth Cody Williams is. It’s not a shock that a guy picked at his position didn’t work out, but it is shocking for a guy at that pick to just have nothing at all

This is an excellent story. We got similar pitches from the same writer at Defector and if they had not been entirely generated by someone plugging prompts into The Fabulism Device they really would've been cool.

Mine is that I use the symbol "var" (as scientific standards bodies indicate) for reactive power instead of "VAR" (most common) or something weird like "Var" or worse, "VAr".
I'll admit it does feel a bit odd to put "Mvar" next to "MW" and "MVA". 🔌💡

I don't understand why people have to concoct wild conspiracy theories in order to critique the NYT. I say this as someone who writes for them: there is plenty to critique without making up wild scenarios and insisting they're true!
