The next Democratic president can just impound the billions of extra ICE funding on day one, right? Withhold it without any explanation? Since that’s a thing presidents can do now?

The new Senate bill doesn’t just gut renewables. It includes massive giveaways to the fossil fuel industry.

It exempts oil and gas drillers from paying corporate taxes. It gives coal companies a tax credit for burning more coal.

It uses your tax dollars to subsidize climate destruction.
The Senate is about to destroy clean energy to give tax cuts to billionaires
The bill could pass within the next 24 hours.

Someone invented an AMAZING way to PREVENT measles that works with your body's NATURAL IMMUNE SYSTEM and is 97% effective GUARANTEED but the government DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW and the media WON'T TALK ABOUT IT
I have a somewhat half baked hypothesis as to why journalists treat RFK like this, as well as many other wellness grifters. I think some journalists take great, GREAT pride in questioning authority, in believing that they hold the powerful to account.

But they also are humans...
I will never understand why the media feels the need to whitewash RFK Jr constantly.

The US already devotes more than 40 million acres to growing corn for ethanol fuel production.

If only ~1/3 of that land were converted to solar PV, it could generate enough electricity to cover the entire country's electricity needs.

Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago:

—Pioneering cancer researcher;
—*Arrested* at airport in Boston;
—Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana;
—"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research.

Read it.

We are seeing a very clear pattern of banning things that make Trumpists and their kids feel bad:

- Books about colonialism, slavery and segregation
- Challenging ideas about gender
- Protests against genocide
- Science generally

It's a blanket ban on hard feelings. They called us snowflakes.

This is probably the most important story of year in the energy transition. ~600 gigawatts of new solar added to world grids today. That will produce ~1,000 terawatt-hours of clean electricity, or ~25% of all US electricity use or 2/3 of India's. In one year! Simply massive & it's accelerating. 🔌💡
Good morning with good news: The world is on track to install nearly 600 GW of solar in 2024.

To put that solar tsunami in context, the world had installed a total of 760 GW of solar by 2020.

Global solar deployment will be up 29% in 2024 over 2023. Wow!
